Works like a dream. Cuts through any rough and great from the sand as well. My new favorite wedge.
My go to wedge…..lost my other one so had to buy a new one. Tried just about all the name wedges and and these are the ones that work for me. Great value as well.
I got these because I bought the 300 series 54 degree and loved it. Got some new irons last year so I needed a 56 and 60 instead of 54 and 58.
Played with them first time today, played early morning in 60 to 70 degrees. I am am 12 hdcp and these helped me get up and down for par 5 of 7 times I needed to. The lob wedge was really smooth through the rough and the ball went where I aimed not a chunk. I somehow avoided all greenside bunkers so I shall report back after I get some practice time in the bunkers. These wedges are as advertised and then some.
Great wedge! I bought it for getting out of bunkers as my golf course lacks practice bunkers. Not only has this wedge improved my bunker play, it has also helped hitting soft pitch shots such as soft pitch shots such as hitting over bunkers. It is very easy to hit and forgiving.
Saw a picture of the dimpled sole, smiled and ordered. I have been playing a 58 degree XR… and looking for a change. This wedge has provided me some outstanding shots around the greens and even the bunkers. I have impressed my buddies and myself. Great club.
I gave a 5 star but to be truthful I just had my knee replaced and have not had a chance to use them. In two weeks I will test them out. Send me another question air in 3 weeks.
Finally got the chance to use them in NY between weather and work. They performed like you mentioned. Glad I got them. Might get the 52 next.
The best club for getting out of a sand trap!
It looks great--quick shipping--good price
I’ve only used it once so far but it performed as advertised, very good.
Very helpful in the sand.
This is my bump and run club sometimes sand club and my deadly accurate 80 yards out shot. I can push it to 100 yards if needed but for an 80% swing shot it drops and stops at 80 yards sometimes about a two foot roll back. My 56 and 64 degree LOB wedges are my two favorite clubs in my bag.
I use my 64 degree lob wedge for any shot under 60 yards and I use it for a sand wedge. It is my go to club for a controlled flop shot. I like the extra wide head makes it easy to bounce it out of the sand. My old one I wore out.
Purchased the wedge a couple of weeks ago and have had it in play for a week. I have not had any instance of leaving a ball in a greenside bunker with this wedge. That is a total of over 15 bunkers. Love it.
Have played one round with it and am VERY pleased so far. Easy to use out of the sand and around the green for the appropriate shots.
The maximum distance out of the fairway is less than my old 56 degree wedge, but contact was solid and it spun well on the green.
Would love to see a lesser lofted version to use for longer shots to the green and certain chip shots. A 48 or 50 degree possibly? I'll be watching for that and will definitely want one if you come out with it!
Overall, absolutely worth the money.
This club has really helped in the 5-to-60-yard range. It seems to be easier to hit these yardage shots. Played 27 holes today and I had a lot of chances to use the 56* club (including 4 shots out of the sand). Works as described. This club will save me 5 to 7 shots per round of golf.
This club has really helped in the 50-to-75-yard range. It seems to be easier to hit these yardage shots. Played 27 holes today and I had a lot of chances to use the 52* club. Works as described.
The clubs were delivered quickly. Used them today for the first time. Like the description said out of the sand first shot and didn’t chunk at all. I bought the dimple 52&56 wedges. I am so please with these edges. Everyone at Taylor made is doing a fantastic job. Keep up the great work.
i have only used them a few times but i like what i see and the feel.
So I was skeptical that this club would improve my bunker play.
Well so much for being skeptical. First round was perfect out of every bunker with great control. Slides through the sand effortlessly. Just a normal swing and it works. I paid 3x for a Callaway Jaw
That doesn't work nearly as well.
I'm a believer
Sooooo easy to hit. Game changing.!
It comes out of the sand with ease. You need one...
does the 405 come in a whole set with the 5 6 7 8 9
Seams to work as described only used it on one outing so far but I think that it is a keeper club
Played today for first time with wedge. I only used for 1 shot but the shot was the highest I ever hit a wedge. Stuck it about 7 foot which is great for me. Love it.
I really enjoy this club it’s really forgiving. Well done Harry Taylor
Great wedge, can get the ball up in the air easily lands soft.
Really like it so far.
I haven't used the wedges yet on a course, only on a simulator and chipping in my backyard. I can say they are easier to hit than my Cleveland wedges. My instances of mishits is drastically lower, and distance control on the simulator was pretty amazing. Looking forward to an outing very soon.
Beautiful club just swinging it right now love the feeling and balance.
What can I say it works as advertised. Thanks Harry!
Love the look of the sole. It took a little getting used to but when I did… it was a game changer. I now own all four wedges 52* 56* 60* 64* .
Glides through sand. Perfect weight and feel!!
I just ordered my 52 degree wedge. It looks and feels great but in Minnesota with sub zero weather I have not had a chance to use it yet. Looking forward to the spring and see how it works!
I have used wedges and like them, they seen to work really good on tight lies
I had a short sided downhill 15 yard shot. Used the HT and checked it up within 3 feet of the hole for par
Great for chipping and out of sand. Excellent choice!
It’s winter time and I haven’t been able to use it yet. I did receive it earlier than expected.
I bought the 60 deg, the 56 deg, and the 52 deg wedges. This is about the 52 degree wedge. I like the way it hits and I'll keep both the 60 deg and 52 deg wedges. Do you have a wedge in the 57 degree loft, more like my existing pitching wedge?
I will get back to you on the 60 deg wedge if I use it tomorrow for bunker shots and maybe the 52 deg wedge if I try that from a bunker as well. All in all, I like your products. Ben Dunn
I had a chance to try out the new wedges today. The 60-degree wedge hits nicely and I hope it will be my go-to club for getting out of bunkers. I'll write more after tomorrow when I play a round. I'll also write about the 56 degree and the 52 degree wedges.
I was struggling hitting my Titlest wedges to the point that the S word was becoming common with every wedge shot. I saw these wedges on the Golf Channel and instantly became intrigued because of the soul design. Bought the 56/60 degree irons and let me tell you, these clubs are wonderful. Whether from the fairway, out of the sand trap or chipping around the green these clubs preform. Need to purchase the 52 and my gapping will be perfect.
I have historically been a good bunker player. Over the last few years, as I have aged, my bunker play has been awful. I practiced and practiced and practiced, had my pro help me but to no avail. Finally, desperate I ordered the HT 405 wide flange 60 deg. wedge. From the first swing the ball popped up and onto the green every single swing. I have only had it a little more than a week so I am still learning the nuances of how hard to swing to get it close but it is in my bag and staying. Also, I fully expected that the wide flange would mean that I could not use it for chipping but it is every bit as good as the old one that is now leaning against the wall in my garage! A friend who was also struggling from the traps hit mine several times at the practice facility. He ordered one two days after he used mine!
Playing with a 52 Degree Wedge and a 60Degree wedge and has saved me many strokes around the greens. I use the 60-degree out of the traps and feel like a PRO. Thank you,
I love my 60-degree wedge from Harry Taylor! Is The Perfect club for those times I short side myself and a flop shot is required.
BETTER THAN MY CLEVELAND WEDGE
The item was great. Great look and feel. Chipped in second time using it.
My 56 plays like a 65! I use it out of the rough! I skull it of the traps so switched it to the rough with better success!!
Been playing the 56 degree for years love everything about it and recently my clubs were lost in shipping so now I have ordered the 56-60 and 64 practiced with them and couldn’t be happier thx Harry
The weather has been in the 30’s since I received the club, thus I haven’t used it yet. It looks and feels great though.
Got one for myself and I kept finding it in my wife's bag....well I just had to have another one for myself, solved that issue...
They are that easy and effortless to use, get one, or two if needed...
The 405 wedges are super easy to it, I'm a relatively new golfer and they make me look like I know what I'm doing.
I was happy to receive the 52-degree wedge in which I've never used but quickly put it in my bag to add to my arsenal. I will update you all on my success with the wedge.
I was happy to receive the 64-degree wedge in which I've never used but quickly put it in my bag to add to my arsenal. I will update you all on my success with the wedge.
Needed some help, does what it says it will do. Dropped 3 strokes out of sand this week.
I started to get birds on par fours & par three’s Help my score right away thanks
Bought the 60 degree wedge to try to improve my consistency and hold the green with my 30 yd. Pitch Shots. It has helped. What has really improved are my shots out of the bunker. I love this golf club.
Best wedge that I have ever bought I have always struggled in the bunker today. When I used the wedge I got out every time
The 405 is a beautifully designed wedge and it performs too! Love the feel off the face and the spin control. The grip is also well done.
It works wonderfully. So far no more stubbed chips in Florida. I can chip again just like at home!
I bought the 60 degree to help me get out of the sand and without practice on the first attempt knocked a 30 footer to within 5 feet and stopped on the spot. It was instant love, now I need to get the other two.
Have only used this club for practice but really like how well It works for me…and I’m not a great golfer so that’s saying a lot!
Great club with plenty of bite around the green.
On our course when the grass goes dormant you get a lot of tight lies. On my first day I did not hit a chip fat. Well pleased that it worked as advertised!
Well, I was playing against two other guys at the time, I took it out, for the first time.
I was in the sand trap and told them it was the first time swinging this new club.
A normal chip shot swing and it was 5' up over the lip and close to the flag.
Don't worry, just get one and it will make you feel like you are cheating.
It is that good.
I will have to practice using it from the short, tight lies around the green. That is the only fault I found, but I have never used it before.
I have a full set if new Taylor made clubs. Can't believe this club has that advantage over them...
Great wedge, easy to hit very forgiving
Now in cold MA and won’t get to try it till January when I will be in Florida
Great out of bunkers and rough.
Used it for the first time today and was very pleased. I was 40 yards off the green and got it up and down as required.
I haven’t got to play with it yet
replaced callaway mack daddy. this club is the best. i do not skull or fat shots like i did with the mack daddy
Having fun experimenting and figuring out the distances for this one. Love the weight of it.
Love the addition of two wedges to my bag.
When the 60 degree wedge arrived, I didn’t like the sole of the club because I thought the club would bounce to much off a tight lie. Not so, great feel and does very well in green side thick grass.
Wedges delivered to the house and deliver on the course! The micro-grooves promote quick stops on the greens and all work well!
I truly love this club easy to line up and to get on my target line and great feeling .
Played my first round with my 56 degree wedge yesterday , I got up and down out bunkers with ease . I hit a couple of pitch shots around the greens and the ball bit and stopped every time. Two thumbs up for this wedge!!!!
It is a good match for my Harry Taylor sand wedge 56 degree. I have used it a couple of times inside 50 yards and got it close to the pin. Am happy with the purchase.
This 52-degree wedge is everything I hoped it would be. I used it today for the first time and I was able to get on the green with short lob shots as easy as I ever have. I had complete confidence that all I had to do was swing, and the club would do the rest, and that's just what happened. I no longer have to try to adjust my pitching wedge and hope it works, I just swing through the shot and the ball flies up and onto the green, right where I aim. The face actually allows me to spin the ball back on my long lob shots. Great club !!!!
It’s a very nice wedge. The bounce is very easy to use and smoothly slides under the ball for a perfect pitch shot. Thoroughly satisfied
Really enjoy the feel of the club. It fills in a gap that I had with my wedges.
Great wedge! The feel and balance is perfect. Another reliable tool for my bag.
The look and weight feel great. The club cut through the rough which sent the ball high and stopped on a dime .Can't wait to try out in the sand.
This is a great wedge that I use in the sand and near the green.
Club is so much easier to hit than my previous 50 degree wedge. Have made some great shots and just have more confidence in expected outcome.
While I am still getting used to the distances I can use this club, I love the feel as the club moves through the sand or grass. I have growing confidence to use this club in a variety of situations.
great bounce out of sand!!
Played some rounds with my new 52 and 60 degree wedges from Harry Taylor. I have hit a few fat and thin ones, but less often compared to my Ben Hogan ones (which I like). The positive things are that I can hit the ball higher and further with these Harry Taylor ones. I'm having to get used to that. I'm 74 (although not in bad shape), but I can't expect to swing real fast. However, with my old sand wedge, I could expect 50 or at times 60 yards. With the Harry Taylors's 52 degree, I can be comfortable if I need 60 or so yards, and according to my GPS, I hit one 88 yards. I know for many, that isn't that much, but for me, I'm thrilled. Those darn bunker shots are still a problem, but with the 60 degree wedge, I do better when I commit to it. Are these good clubs, yes they are.
I got the 60 deg wedge. I needed something between my Ping SW and trusty old 64 deg wedge. It arrived quickly. Very Well packaged and looks beautiful out of the box. I didn’t have time to practice with but couldn’t wait to try it out during my next game. I don’t have the distances and feel dialed in yet, but the safe shot I took with it felt very good. It looks and feels like a high quality club. I we’re going to get along very well.
I have never put a lot of spin with any other wedges like this one. I never felt so much confidence chipping around the green eversince I got my 60deg. Loved it so much, I got the 56deg as well.
My new 60 has helped me lower my scores by 3 to 4 shots per round! Simply the best up and downs ever!
This is my second wedge in this series, love the heft and what you can do with them. 52 degrees, easy to hit off hard lies and in deep rough. Great club, liked my 60 degree so much got this one. You wont be dissapointed. Only thing wish they would offer is to add wrap to the grip, but no biggie, I took their grip off and put my own on with a bigger wrap.
My new favorite club. I use it whenever I'm 60 yards or less from the green so I can put it close. So glad I bought this club.
Love my new wedge. My short game has greatly improved since I got it.
HAVEN"T HAD A CHANCE TO USE IT MUCH SO FAR. I DID HIT A 70 YARD SHOT @ IT BACKED UP LIKE A YO-YO. MAY TRY THE GAP WEDGE NEXT.
It makes it easer to hit out of all kind of sand traps
This club feels comfortable. My first swing was out of a sand trap and into the hole..
